Now we thank the elements:

We thank the East,
Element of air
and scented smells
and the flight of all.

Thanks be to the East.

We thank the South
Element of fire,
for without which
we would have no light or warmth.

Thanks be to the South.

We thank the West
Element of water,
without which we and all around us
would die of thirst and drought
Thanks be to the West.

We thank the North
Element of earth the Mother of all life
Thanks be to the North.

Say: ALL- Let us shine as bright as your radiance
Let love be spread across the earth
Let the sun and rain join forces to aid growth.

The Heirophant - HIGH PRIEST

Let your love spread throughout the world as does my light.
Mother Goddess, father God, you who are life and hope, joy and pain, death and life anew, without whome their can be nothing. Give us your strength to carry on in your workings and make us one again in your essence.

As I give light and love to you so it is good to give to others
let us all share all that we have with those who have nothing

Each person lays a gift at his feet He then says:
"Now you may know the true joy of giving. So Mote It Be".

ALL- So Mote It Be.

Priestess then says

"We wish to thank the old ones for giving us all that is life.
For teaching us a balance and for opening up our hearts.
Let us now rejoice with the May pole dance"

ALL- So Mote It Be

We chant a chant for Beltane,
We chant to bring the sun.
We ring the Bell for Beltane
For summers just begun.
We chant around the may-pole
To crown the queen and king
We chant around the may-pole
To see the summer in.

The bell is then rung three times.
